One of the joys of being an intelligence professional is getting to read the translations of news releases from insane regimes like North Korea’s and Cuba’s every day. They really do use these hyperbolic terms in official communications — “Japanese political dwarfs,” Japanese engaged in “imbecilic” criticism of North Korea, etc. It’s like whole national leaderships writing in a slam book, day after day after day.
