What could possibly go wrong?

From Breitbart, a story that NY metro auto dealers are dropping out of “Cash-for-Clunkers”. Why? The bureaucrats aren’t paying for the cars; they estimate that they’ve been paid for less than 2% of their deals so far. With 400,000 deals done nationwide, I’m sure that this is a great example of how well the Feds will handle our health insurance. What could possibly go wrong?

    Getting paid is not important.

What’s important of course is how these dealers feel about themselves.

Since they must be feeling pretty stupid now, the program seems to have failed from every vantage.

On the other hand, one could say that the administration is showing surprising care in disbursing money from the public purse. And it’s not like the failure to make payment is hurting deserving people. Those auto dealers are grasping capitalists who only care about their own profit.

@Sully – Yes, one could. But the danger in tearing the time space continuum and destroying the universe would suggest we shouldn’t.

Way to suck all the air out the thread Howard.
