DNC and Obama Plan to Protest Town Hall Protesters

If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Turnabout is fair play.

Take your pick of sappy adages, but if you ask me the one that best applies to this pot-calling-the-kettle-black-then-acting-like-the-kettle scenario is a variation on “Do as I say, not as I do” — to wit, “Do as I do, not as I say.”

Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, has announced an initiative called “Let’s Get It Done.” In cooperation with the Democrat Party, OFA wants to give the protesters a “taste of their own medicine” by busing in protesters to shout down the real town hall protesters. OFA has even created 8½-×-11″ signs that protesters can download and bring with them.

For weeks now, the Obama White House, Congress, and leaders of the Democrat Party have done nothing but bash the town hall protests as “astroturf,” “un-American,” and “organized” (as though organized is a dirty word — this when the leader of the Democrat Party is by profession a community organizer).

This has got to be the ultimate triumph of hypocrisy for the king of hypocrites. It is now clear, if it was not before, that nothing is beneath Obama and his kind or too slimy for them to touch.

What I wonder is, what is this supposed to accomplish? Will it change the minds of those opposed to Obamacare? Perhaps they think that opposition is just a sort of mob reflex that they can reverse by calling up a different mob?

Or do they think that Congressmen have no interest in getting a true read of the mood and sentiments of their constituents? I guess that’s possible, and it doesn’t matter to them if some Congressmen lose their seats over this, as long as it passes.

Hopefully no one will let the lefties in on just how stupid it is to show up with uniform signs to oppose a group whose members individually created their signs at home.

It’s the Saul Alinsky play book. Raise hell. By any means necessary. Get in their face.

Brought to you bye SEIU members who will be calling in sick after their late nights at these ‘grass roots’ extravaganzas.

This might put thousands of substitute teachers to work while their regular counterparts are busy printing signs and going to these grass roots events.

This is all part of the stimulus, you see.

    Strangelet,
I hope the professionally made sign bearers aren’t accompanied by platoons of burly SEIU members bearing ax handles. That would be sure to make the grannie and gramps protesters wee wee in their pants.

    Howard,
I like the His Heinous reference.
