: I finished "The Israel Test" on the plane coming home from the beach, Colin et all my dear frems. I will try to email Colin a brief review tomorrow. It is a very important book, of just over 250 big print pages. I could write more on it right now but right now the blonde below is distracting my attention. There is something about blondes with that look and the puckered lips which drives Jewish men crazy, crazy, crazy, even after a full day of Shabbas prayer, oy vey!

Were by his God in mankind bent,
To make it sure that aged ones,

what I was asking was for comments to be grouped under the link article to which they refer.
If someone posts a link to McCain endorsing Palin blah, blah…..
and a frog or other wants to know why anyone would put up a link that just links back to some silly soul…
I was wondering id the comment might become comment number 1 for McCain/palin blah, blah…instead of comment eleventy-seven in the general pile.

I may want to submit a review of George Gilder’s “The Israel Test” which I just started. So far, it is great. Gilder doesn’t waste a word or pull any punches.
Also, what do you all think about Paul Ryan running for President? He sure kicked Mister Peanut’s butt at Blair House.

Have just been re-reading Liberal Fascism. I’m going to stop recommending it. Goldberg repeatedly indicts “Third Way”-ism, as though remainderlessly synonomous with both fascism and progressivism, in a way that implies the only alternatives are pure laissez-faire capitalism on one side and Marxism on the other. I don’t think he actually believes that, but admitting to a wider range of choices would break up his breathless exaggeration and tactically deployed quotations.

Don’t worry, Colin, you just have a moderate nature. You may find Gilder even more extreme than Goldberg, but I think you’d do well to read “The Israel Test.”
If you keep meeting the same response within yourself and from many of us, it just might be that you may not yet realize the scope and the depth of the left’s animosity toward all of those ideals which most of us hold very dear.

Zolt, I realize that some may see this as an admission against interest in these discussions, but I think I’ve spent a lot more time among the left, the hardcore and mainstream and activist left, than most here. I really am well aware of what a bunch of hateful, corrupt, and altogether mad bunch of people there are “over there.” Unfortunately, people like that exist on both sides, as do thoughtful people of good will.
